I was listening to NPR today on the way to work and they were interviewing people about torture and the person they were interviewing who was anti-torture said this and I quote (not perfectly but closely), "The waterboard [which the U.S. is currently using against suspected terriorists] is similiar to the dunking stool which was quite effective at elicting confessions during the Salem Witch Trials." He managed to say this without a hint of sarcasm in his voice, what a great delivery.
I thought that was hilarious.
I thought maybe you would find that hilarious too.
And by hilarious I mean, "OH GOD, that's somewhat scary."
